As we go about our day we all have some kind of chat with ourselves. The chat tends to comment on what we are doing, what we can see and on the events going on around us, it helps us makes sense of our world.  
However, sometimes this 'chat' can feel painful and have a negative impact on us. If this is the case then it is very likely that your inner critic is running the show. When our inner critic takes over then we are more liable to feel anxious, angry, stressed and depressed.
